Fr. Chris was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross in April 2015. From 2014-2016, he led a faith community of over 1,300 families as Associate Pastor of Christ the King Parish. Since 2016, Fr. Chris has been an integral member of the Residential Life community at Notre Dame, serving 270 men as Rector of O’Neill Family Hall for the past five years. He also taught the Moreau First Year Experience course over the last academic year. Fr. Chris participated in the inaugural Holy Cross Rotational Leadership Program in 2018-2019, and he has served in a leadership role for the Congregation as First Assistant Superior for Corby Hall since July of 2018 – caring for over 60 Holy Cross Religious, including planning and executing the Community’s response to the pandemic.

Previously, Fr. Chris has served in a variety of roles, including: Assistant Director, Old College Formation Program; Associate Director, Congregation of Holy Cross Office of Vocations; Chaplain, University of Notre Dame Marching Band; and Chaplain, University of Notre Dame Volleyball Team. Fr. Chris has been both a member and chair of a variety of committees during his ministry – within Holy Cross since 2014 and within Residential Life since 2016.

Fr. Chris is the oldest of four boys, originally from Jefferson City, Missouri. He attended the University of Notre for his undergraduate studies, graduating in 2009 with a double major in Finance and Economics and a Theology minor. Following graduation, he entered formation with the Congregation of Holy Cross. While in formation, he earned a Master of Divinity from Notre Dame in 2014 and served in a variety of ministries, including: hospital chaplaincy, campus ministry, parish work, and direct service to the poor. While serving as O’Neill Rector, Fr. Chris earned an Executive Master of Nonprofit Administration from Notre Dame in May of 2021.
