Ben Wood

Ben serves as the Assistant Director for Residential Facilities, having previous served as the Assistant Director for Summer Housing since January 2019. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Ben served as a Residence Director at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Ben completed his master's degree in Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs from the University of Northern Iowa in 2015. Ben spent his undergraduate years at Mount Mercy University, a small Catholic university founded by the Sisters of Mercy, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, completing his bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations.

Ben's found his passion for residential life when he served as a resident assistant during his undergraduate studies for three years. While at Northern Iowa, Ben continued to find opportunities to work and connect with students through the Department of Residence. Ben also served as an ACUHO-I Conference Services Intern at Marquette University in Milwaukee during the summer of 2014. Ben lives in Granger with his wife, Rebecca, and daughters, Charlotte and Eleanor, and their son, Rowan.
