Graduate Students

We know graduate students connect with one another and their communities in different ways, which is why the Office of Residential Life offers several housing options specific to graduate students. Whether you're interested in staying on campus or would prefer off-campus housing, we can assist you in sustaining your quality of life outside the classroom wherever you may live. 

Finding Off-Campus Housing

Notre Dame students should log into with their NetID; prospective students may create limited access guest account. Students or prospective students may view, filter, and compare listings of available properties for rent, complete with photographs, floor plans, maps with proximity to campus, links to applications/leases, lists of amenities, and more. It also includes a roommate search tool and discussion boards available only to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as educational resources designed to help students navigate the many dimensions of life off campus.

Financial Aid packages will vary by student, please review more information regarding Financial Aid policies for living off campus at their website.

University Related Housing

“University Related” properties are entirely owned and operated by private management companies. Properties designated as “University Related” are off-campus housing options that are only available for rent to Notre Dame affiliated faculty, staff, and graduate students.

Fischer Graduate Residences
Graduate students who are interested in on-campus apartments should visit Fischer Graduate Residences for details and application information.  Fischer Graduate apartments are 2 bedroom units. Fischer Graduate Residences is managed by Bradley Company - for questions, please contact them at  574-631-8607

The Landings at Notre Dame
The Landings at Notre Dame is a apartment complex designed for enrolled students of Notre Dame that are married or parenting.  After May 1 of each academic year, if there are apartments vacant and not reserved The Landings at Notre Dame also accepts applications from newly accepted and enrolled post-baccalaureate and graduate students and more.The Landings at Notre Dame is a University-related complex located within walking distance of the core of campus. The Landings at Notre Dame features whole apartment leases (not by the bedroom) featuring one, two and three bedroom apartments with in-unit washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchens, an open layout, on-site parking and shuttle service available. Overlook at Notre Dame
Overlook at Notre Dame is a University-related community specifically designed for graduate and professional students and members of the university's research community. Located directly adjacent to the eastern edge of campus, the Overlook at Notre Dame offers studio and one-bedroom apartments. Assistant Rector

The assistant rector (AR) is a graduate student who serves in a residence hall and lives side by side with students. The AR and rector form the Head Staff and together, with the resident assistants, make up the Hall Staff. The AR aids the rector in general administration and works with Hall Staff to ensure a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment for all who reside in the residence halls. ARs generally assist with overseeing programming efforts within a hall community which means presence in your hall on nights that you are not officially on duty. ARs generally assist with providing opportunities for faith worship and enhancing the spiritual life of the hall community. There are two ARs in each Residence Hall and responsibilities are generally shared among Head Staff. The application process for this position begins in the spring for the following academic year. Notre Dame Student Preferred Realtor Program

This program provides personal assistance to prospective candidates and new students who are relocating to the area or to current students who are interested in purchasing a home. The program is an optional service provided by Cressy & Everett Real Estate of South Bend and features a single point of contact for students to a selected team of experienced real estate professionals.
