IMPORTANT UPDATE - SUMMER HALL STAFF 2020 HIRING AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS
With the recent progression of COVID-19 and its effects on the campus community here at Notre Dame, an update was provided on April 7, 2020 by Provost Dr. Tom Burish regarding changes to the summer programming and summer operation here on campus. If you are not aware, please follow the link to the communication provided here.
This affects all summer hall staff positions on-campus, including student employment, impacting our ability to hire summer hall staff at building level positions of Hospitality Managers, Assistant Hospitality Managers, Assistant Facility Managers, and Community Assistants.
At this time, we cannot predict with any certainty that we will be able to continue the hiring and recruitment process, if and when on-campus housing is made available to summer session students on July 6, 2020. Should circumstances change, we will be in touch.
Again, our prayers remain with you and your family. Thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult time.
To welcome the more than 20,000 guests who stay in our residence halls each summer, the Office of Residential Life requires a great deal of student and staff assistance. And, in addition to the enjoyment of being at Notre Dame over the summer, working for Summer Housing provides excellent work experience in several areas. Opportunities exist to lead a staff team, mentor others, practice customer service skills, and gain insight on professions within higher education housing and student affairs.
