The Office of Residential Life works collaboratively with many other departments across the university to coordinate hall closing and opening processes. For specific information about hall openings and closing, please refer to our website.

The Office of the Registrar provides tentative future academic year calendars at their website for your planning purposes. Residential Life will update these important dates for the current academic year each May.
Future Academic Year Move-In and Move-Out Dates
On-campus housing generally works in tandem with the Registrar’s academic calendar. The dates below are a preview of expected hall opening and closings for future academic years. Please keep in mind these are subject to change. Residential Life will be in clear communication with students on the expected move-in timeline the summer preceding fall move-in and deadlines for move-out in the spring before the halls close in May.
Residence halls close each year for Winter Break (between the fall and spring semesters) and students are not permitted to remain in the hall. Halls remain open during Fall and Spring Breaks (October and March, respectively) and students can stay in their rooms during this time.
